Publication and Consultation

 

  • The Parish Council own three noticeboards around the village (by the garden shop on Gorley Lynch, by the Memorial Hall at Frogham Cross and by the post box in North Gorley at the Lawrence Lane junction).  

  • The website is updated on a regular basis.

  • A quarterly newsletter is hand-delivered to each household (with copies available on the website).

  • Minutes and agendas appear in the noticeboards and on the website, with paper copies available on request to the Parish Clerk.

  • A small article is included in the local Link Magazine which is published monthly.

  • Residents are welcome to attend the monthly Parish meetings to raise topics of interest or concern.

  • The Clerk and Councillors are available to contact by telephone and email.

  • When appropriate, the Parish Council will hold a special meeting to cover areas of interest - for example Broadband and the proposed works at Latchmore by the Forestry Commission.

  • The Parish Council are building up a directory of emails to enable faster communication with residents (where appropriate) - if you wish to be added to this list please use the contact page of this website.

  • The Parish Council work closely with the Neighbourhood Watch scheme for the area.

  • The Councillors represent the Parish at various meetings - such as New Forest Association of Local Councils, New Forest National Park Authority Quadrant, New Forest Consultative Panel - and work closely with neighbouring parishes when the need arises.
